We only ask for the required information to do with the related services. When signing up to automatic marketing emails we encrypt your emails. We do not sell your data to any other 3rd party. If you want any data we have on you you can email archie@captain-vc.com for a data request or any other enquiry.

We will delete all emails including promotional material or the email has an unmonitored inbox

Contact form restrictions

Emails sending us spam through our email system may be blocked. The relevant IP addresses will be stored in our database. This data is used solely to block users. Since this data can be seen as personal you can contact us below to retreive your data or request your data to be destroyed in line with GDPR except for your IP. Your IP is uniquely identifies you as abusing the system and we are not abliged to delete this data since we will do not process this data. If you also beleive a mistake has been made they you may also contact us below. If the ban is lifted you will gain immediate access to the contact form.

Why we collect such data?

We clooect your IP address and add it to a suppression list once you have been identified as misusing the contact form. The IP is stored securely on our database and is only used for surpression reasons and not processing. By law we are not required to delete this data however we can tell you what data we have and send you a copy within 2 weeks (ususally up to 5 working days).

What may flag my IP?

Your IP may be flagged if you have sent mass unwanted emails (spam). Whether this is through marketing or just general emails. We then add a filter to our system to filter specific data and when that criteria is met your IP is then flagged and the email is not sent. You will also receive a screen telling you you have been blocked form the admin system. Filters include but is not limited to emails and phrases. We are aware that the filters are robust and false positives may occur. If you beleive this has happened to you please contact our Data Protection Officer (DPO): archie@captain-vc.com

We only keep necessary cookies for logged in users on this site to ensure the site is fucntional. We use the google reCaptcha which uses cookies and their privacy policy can be found here. The cookies are for identifying humans from robots on the contact form.
